AC unit a creative studio that I started with my co-founder and bestfriend, Ally. (A)lly and (C)hristine as a Unit. We are experimenting with the combination of fashion design and technology, exploring how we can change traditional static clothes into interactive fashion experiences. Our first release Love Frequency is a 3D printed structured resincorset that intakes sound frequencies and outputs ambient light. The concept: Peahens have crests that can sense the frequency of a peacocks tail flutter during mating calls. We want music to act as the frequency of the tail. (produce our own music) When peahens are interested in a peacock, they will exhibit traits such as nodding their heads, vocal cues, and following the peacock. To replicate the attraction of the peahen, we will use light that follows the direction of the sound. - sound reactive light. The light is also symbolic of a someone that lights up whenever they experience love, this light follows wherever the source of love (music/sound) comes from.
